Adam B C's first day in Jakarta

The past 12 days of my life has been totally life changing. I Took a trip to Jakarta and Belitung and my life will never be the same. I want to share this experience with everyone and perhaps this trip could mean something to you too. Thanks for tuning in. Adam B C

This is Hong Kong Airport the trip is only just about to begin. I'm a little nervous and very very excited :)

Just Checked in everyone I'm going to Jakarta, a place i have never been and which I was previously afraid of because I heard there are a lot of mosquitoes there.

But fear will not hold me back, I have already checked in my bags here we go!

Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport
IATA airport code is CGK
and ICAO code is WIII

Introducing the lovely Nevya who was so kind to pick me up from the airport so that i would not get robbed by the taksi Jakarta. If you are ever going to catch a taksi (taxi) in Jakarta do take the blue bird service. They are very reliable, i can't say much about the other ones :)

This is where we were parked, OMG so many scooters, I like this place already. I have a huge love for modernism and above all motorcycles.

Just look at these all, i feel like i am in motorcycle heaven.

It does look slightly dangerous for the little motorcycles thought!

Bye Bye airport. Jakarta here I come!

It is so strangely refreshing here.

The landscape is like a mixture of Hong Kong and Sydney.

I see the people of the future here. This place allows me to imagine life on another planet. So Halo.

So many modes of transport! So many worlds in one.

Look at that!. The question of how much one little motorbike can carry is being challenged here every hour.

Hi everyone my name is Tiffany, and welcome to my home. Oh yes, I'm SO Cute!!!

This is Tiffany's house, like a mansion huge doors and tall ceilings.

Lovely Manual Yamaha just a parked outside.

Accompanied by a Kick Ass Honda!

Hi Nevya!

This is a stylish cheese restaurant, it has a really lovely interior. Such a contrast to the road and traffic.

Lychee is so so refreshing! As you guessed it is hot outside.

I love the chalk so convenient for price fluctuations.

As promised the big tasting Cheese's.

Back on the road. The concept of the motorbike has changed in my mind forever!

There was no boom gate for the train crossing? Lawless and I love it!

Some suburban dwellings.

This is a parking man, you pay him a little money and he clears traffic for you. Quite an interesting profession.

The whole thing is so play school. The colours are so pastel here.

A kind hearted street vendor.

He looks like a snake charmer! More like a Fiat charmer.

Is that three people on the one scooter?

The lovely Jakarta skyline.

Food here is so natural. The way it ought to be.

I never liked coco nuts, till i tried this Jakarta coconut. I guess just like with anything you have bad and you have good, but the origin is always the best.

On the road again. Lots of traveling by car in this city. Kinda like Australia and the US.

I'm eating at the moment rejoin you a little later.

Look at those parking balls. I love em.

The Aesthetic of Old Town Jakarta. Totally 18th century Dutch inspired Platz.

Me and Nevya.

Old Town Platz

Just love it here, so much European history but in Jakarta.

This Ladies and Gentlemen is my Lovely Photographer "S"

We are now at the entry of the Javanese puppet museum.

They look so strange yet so beautiful at the same time.

Wow!! Just look at that wood carving. Like a wooden interpretation of some one's motif dream.

So much determination in one puppet!

So much determination in one person!

Am I looking at the puppets or are the puppets looking at me.

Earlier we witnessed a wooden dream, now this is a stone fabricated motif, simply amazing. Was it the Dutch the Chinese or the Javanese that inspired such a great practice?

So clear. One puppet so much expression.

Props, what would we do without them?

Quite a vivid materialisation of some one's imagination.

You can almost hear and smell the culture.

I am totally in love with these talented people's ability to capture expression.

Would you just look at that detail.

Wow! Aesthetics.

No Way! So much function.

This is my travel wild wild west cowboy look, but just in the east.

I am looking into a world, which i did not know existed. Huge cultural shock.

My attempt at capturing my Photographer :)

This is a lovely Old town Dutch inspired Jazz Cafe in the Old Town Platz.

Don't you just love the that staircase.

I'm so happy here on so many levels. If i could only remember this smile and reproduce it at work.

Are you looking at me?

There are a few mosquitoes here, but I won't let that bother me.

If my house was like this I would be a very happy man.

My photographer is good!

Just relaxing in the Cafe.

I think i captured some thought.

This illustration is perhaps the best I have seen for a very long time. You see before Maya and Rhino the world use to be rendered by hand. I love that world. It impresses me just how much thought can translated onto a medium. The human mind is an amazing thing. There is no limitations if you put your mind to it.

Ok! I'm back. Do you like my pose? Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed your first day here in Jakarta. Bye Bye. BTW i'm so cute.

This is only the first day of my Indonesian trip. Stay tuned for there is going to be high high and an extremely low low in this trip. Until tomorrow I hope you have a great evening. This is Adam B C.  Thank you for visiting AdamBCFeiYang.blogspot.com.
